Who run the world? Girls. Well, country's two leading girls, that is. Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert take "girl power" to the next level with their smokin' hot "Somethin' Bad" collaboration, the second official single from Lambert's Platinum disc. Featuring Oceans 11 and American Hustle style storytelling, the two divas prove that females have the edge over their male counterparts. By pulling off the perfect (rather explosive) heist, the singers demonstrate the power in high-fashion, extreme lipstick and what it means to be a woman.
Sorry, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, they've got you beat!
Originally, the video debuted on all CMT, MTV and VH1 platforms on Wed. (June 25)--and thus those numbers don't count. It wasn't added to the Youtbe streaming site until later on Thursday (June 26), and it has officially racked up over two million views. Specifically, as of this post, the clip clocks in at 2,134,985 views. Rather impressive.
Underwood and Lambert first debuted the track at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, followed by performances at the CMT Music Awards and CMA Music Festival (at Nashville's LP Field). In its first week, it sold a whopping 107,000 digital downloads, ultimately bowing at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs.
UPDATE: As of 3:30 pm on Sat. (June 28), the video vaulted over four million views, currently sitting at 4,169,365.
