Christina Aguilera may be taking a break from the spotlight to focus on her pregnancy, but she's also using her down time to work on her next album.
The diva confirmed the good news on Twitter this weekend, tweeting: "So blissful in taking this time for creating all things blossoming new on the horizon...album, baby & beautiful music to come."
The new album will serve as the follow up to 2012's Lotus, which --excuse my French-- was one hell of a flop.
Lotus definitely wasn't the best album ever made (it didn't touch the underrated Bionic or any of Christina's earlier classics like Stripped), but it wasn't terrible either, and some seriously poor promotion seemed to be a big factor in how badly it did. Songs like "Your Body," "Let There Be Love," and "Red Hot Kinda Love" were actually amazing, so hopefully Xtina's next album will get the push and support it deserves from her label.
