Two of pop music's most polarizing starlets, HyunA and Taylor Swift, are now POP magazine cover girls. Sadly, they didn't pose together like Kate Moss and Rihanna did for their racy girl-on-girl V cover, opting instead for plain ol' individual shots for the multi-cover Spring/Summer issue of the British fashion mag.
While gracing the front of international magazines is nothing new for Taylor, it's a pretty big deal for HyunA, who is the first Korean to cover the mag in its 12-year history. Other pop princesses to cover POP include Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Elton John, putting HyunA in good (and very divalicious) company.
HyunA's POP cover will fit in nicely with the "Ice Cream" singer's current plans for a global debut. In November, she met with PSY/Bieber manager, Scooter Braun, to talk about entering the American market, and in January, HyunA told Billboard that she's been studying English to prepare for a possible crossover.
Whether or not HyunA will actually go through with any of it is another story, but covering a magazine alongside Taylor Swift and being seen more than 1.2 billion times on Youtube is certainly a nice start for the K-pop princess.
