In our continuing efforts to explore the wild and wonderful world of Kanye West's sartorial choices, we'd like to spotlight the pants that West wore out to a Versace event this week. Which pants? These pants:
There's a lot to take in here, so let's run down those patches one by one:
"METAL." Slightly juvenile, but harmless.
This one just says "EXIT." A Sartre reference? Eh, probably a clothing label and not a philosophical statement. So far, these pants are pretty innocent, as far as pants go. What's all the fuss about? Let's look at the other leg:
What's that star?
That sure looks to us a lot like a Satanic pentagram to us. Uh oh!
And that's not all:
Yes, you guessed right. That's the head of the Satanic hermaphroditic goat-god Baphomet!
Does this all mean that Kanye West is a Satanist? At least one guy seems to think so.
Personally, we are less convinced. Can't a guy go out wearing the head of Baphomet for fun, without everybody thinking he's a Satanist all of a sudden? If you're buying it, though, feel free to dig through Kanye's recent freestyle for references to the works of Aleister Crowley.
