Fresh off her as-yet-unseen acting debut in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, Lady Gaga has now been offered a juicy role in another action-comedy sequel. A girl's gotta have a niche, right?

According to Complex, Mama Monster is director Justin Theroux's first choice for the female lead in Zoolander 2, which yes, is apparently happening. There's no official word on whether she's accepted the part yet, but word is that salary negotiations are just shy of $5 million. (When it comes to getting divas on the screen, that's chump change.)

Gaga's role hasn't been specified yet beyond generic "love interest." We're a bit worried, though, since the other celebs up for the role include Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum, and Adriana Lima, which makes us wonder if this is more of a stunt-casting opportunity than an actual acting gig. Come on, Theroux, give Gaga something she can sink her teeth into! We've all seen the "Telephone" video, why not try and top that?
