Normally we'd start a post like this by listing all the myriad platforms to which Lady Gaga has lent her music, image, name and/or traces of costume feathers, but we're not entirely sure our site could handle that much data. Now there's one more: The Simpsons, who'll guest-star as herself. Gaga's been animated on the Simpsons before, as Elton John's Golden Globes date in the photo above, but Gaga herself wasn't involved in that, and it's decidedly old-school. (The real-hair bow and bullet bangs!) This time she is, and she'll become, this version of herself, according to Yeardley Smith:
She's playing herself, and [The Simpsons writers] describe her as the happiest, most optimistic person in the world. She comes to Springfield to try to cheer up Lisa, but she can't.
Lisa needs... poker faces! Thanks, we'll be here all night. Gaga's also said that she'll be "a little bit of a slut" and end up kissing Marge, which, sure, OK. At any rate, this'll provide more fodder for Popdust's ongoing office debate over the best secondary Simpsons character. (For the record: Mr. Burns or Milhouse.)
