If musical theater has taught Will Schuester one thing, it's never to back down from a fight—especially one that doesn't seem likely to involve fists anytime soon. During a recent appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Jonah Hill protested that he had overheard Matthew Morrison and Chace Crawford having a conversation at a party that involved some sort of joke with him on the punchline, leaving the Moneyball actor none too pleased. Hill responded to Morrison's apparent shit-talking in turn, aggressively gesturing towards the camera like 2Pac threatening the Hughes Brothers on Yo! MTV Raps.
Well, you just knew that Morrison wasn't going to let his name be mentioned in the streets like that without stepping to. On a pre-recorded bit that aired last night on Fallon, Morrison responded to Hill's challenge from the set of the Glee choir room, beginning by re-telling the "Jonah Hill joke" (left ambiguous, but with the punchline "who do you think you are, Jonah Hill?") and then going on to address Hill directly. "You think I can't sing my way out of this?" asks Morrison, from on top of a chair in the middle of the class. "Well guess, what Jonah—I can sing my way out of it. And I can dance my way out of it."
Morrison ended by putting the ball back in Hill's court. "Pick a date, and I will meet you on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," promised Morrison. "And we will settle this like men." Of course, he couldn't resist leaving a parting shot: "Can't wait to see Moneyball." (Hey, Will, it's actually pretty good! Though Barry Zito and Miguel Tejada kinda get the short shrift!) As for who we take in the bout, we'll say Morrison in five—with all the natural padding gone, the newly-svelte Hill will probably be at something of a disadvantage.
