Even though the world is prepared to come to an unanimous halt next Wednesday for the premiere of the U.S. version of The X Factor, judge Nicole Scherzinger is still conducting business as usual, namely promotional appearances in European malls. In a very retro nod to the Tiffany concerts of the '80s, Scherzinger and her dancers set up a performance—right next to the fountains, but to the left to of the potted plants, we'd imagine—at East London's newly unveiled Westfield Stratford City shopping center on Tuesday. Yes, finally rising from the dregs of contenderdom to the other side of the stage in a reality competition show apparently doesn't free you from the lowest of promotional obligations. During the performance, Scherzinger managed to give a shout-out to the boys of LMFAO by shuffling her way through the Pussycat Dolls' "Don't Cha." But she still solo career aspirations and plans for that new album—we swear! Of course performing in malls is a fate that even American Idol winners haven't managed to escape, so maybe we shouldn't be so hard on her.
