Happy Birthday, Taylor Swift! We know your official video for "I Knew You Were Trouble" is set to premiere this afternoon, but we also know that you're a perfectionist. BFF Selena Gomez knows this too, and since you've helped her through some hard times, she's giving you a few suggestions for some last-minute edits. Selena posted a video late Wednesday that features herself and three female friends dancing around in studio to Taylor's dubstep experiment (and bringing back our own memories of Making the Band). It's not the first time we've seen her goof off on YouTube—we know how this ends...
For a video entitled, "Me and my girls!" the moves are reminiscent of Taylor's AMA performance, breathing a fair amount of sexuality to the now-23-year-old's song via hair flips and floor-writhing. Selena takes extra pleasure in belting out Popdust favorites like "the joke was on me, hey!" and slips in little truth nugget at the end ("you think we'd know better?") suggesting this is her response to the Bieber breakup, or what happens when you play with a video camera after too many RedBulls. She and her friends also appear to be following along with Rihanna's Clueless trend, because the spirit of the '90s will never die. Watch below.
As for Sel's early birthday gift to Taylor? Well done.
@selenagomez I love you so.
