Britney Spears' rep has told People that, despite reports, the singer will not be singing live on the Grammy Awards next month. (Whether or not "won't be singing live" is some sleight-of-flack for "she'll be lipsyncing and/or presenting instead" will, of course, be borne out in the next few weeks.)
Who will be performing at the telecast, according to a loose-lipped choreographer, is Lady Gaga, who's up for six awards including Album of the Year for The Fame Monster. Laurieann Gibson let it slip last night that she was at a meeting last night for a "Grammy performance extraordinaire," and then, well, this happened:
Hope she didn't sign an NDA! Also, I'm going to guess that there won't be a reprise of last year's duet with Elton John.
