There's a bad moon arising, and we're not talking about Creedence Clearwater Revival.
It's The Walking Dead, people. And it's getting serious.
The last time we left the prison group, death (headed by the now-deceased Governor) forced Rick and company from the safe concrete fortress into the wild. The metal fence was torn down, allowing a devastating amount of walkers to overrun. Hershel met his untimely (and tragic) end. And we don't know what's coming next. Will our favorite band of survivors ever reunite? And can they carry on in such small numbers on their own?
In a brand new trailer for the season's second half, we are teased with more sadness, despair and a ton of lethal walkers. It's devastating really, especially when you witness Michonne, the badass with the katana, desperately crying out to the skies.
Also, fans can get a glimpse of Daryl, Beth, Maggie and Glenn trying to keep it together.
"We'll never get things back to the way they used to be," Rick laments in a voiceover.
The Walking Dead returns Sunday, Feb. 9 on AMC at 9/8c.
