See, now this is a quality first step in The Man's long-overdue efforts to keep rapper and professional Don't-Give-a-Fuck-er Tyler, the Creator down. After spending much of yesterday on Twitter celebrating the release of new album Goblin, Tyler tweeted pics of what looked to be him being arrested, though he did a poor job of explaining what or why for, instead just ranting about how much the police suck, like so many generations of proud West Coast MCs before him. MTV did a little digging and found that Tyler had been detained for causing a public disturbance at his "secret" album release show at the Troubador in LA, but that Mr. The Creator was neither arrested nor charged with anything.
Still, as far as hip-hop coronations go, you can't ask for much better than that, can you? We're hoping that Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Warren G. and Tha Dogg Pound were all waiting outside the police office to applaud him, a la Henry Hill getting popped for the first time in Goodfellas. ("Hey, you broke your cherry!")
