Vanessa Hudgens has come a long way since her High School Musical days. In the past year, she's taken on a number of R-rated roles --like Spring Breakers and Machete Kills-- and come January she'll hit the big screen as a pregnant teen runaway in Gimme Shelter. The "Sneakernight" singer opened up about her career evolution and mature new fanbase in the latest issue of Flare magazine.
"They send you roles that you've just done, but I don't want to do the same thing twice," she said." I want the parts I gotta go out of my way for."
"Now it's adults, and not even those who have kids, who actually know me. It's kinda cool because people my age are actually seeing my work and appreciating it."
The 25-year-old also did a photoshoot for the mag, and she looks damn good. She's still the hottest thing to come out of Disney in our eyes.
