It is a good thing for Kanye West if Kanye West makes headlines. Not just because he's Kanye West and thus probably gets giddy over any mention of his name anywhere in any context--we're OK with saying it, that's practically the point of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy--but in order for everyone to remember how much of a Big Deal that Watch the Throne is supposed to be, he needs a lot of teensy leaks (the latest: production credits, really?) and a lot of rapping and commanding stages in public as reminders. Keeping up his end of the fame, you know? Or else it's just fun and means people get to see Kanye West perform more often than they expected--pick your explanation.
First, Ye came out on stage with Q-Tip; the latest is Rihanna, with whom he performed "All of the Lights" and "Run This Town." Is it going to reach the point where you can start predicting all these "surprise" appearances by figuring out which of his verse recipients is on tour? In that case, a reprise of his surprise Katy Perry duet might be in order. Or possibly Beyonce when she takes 4 on tour. Watch the news!
