Took long enough, but finally, it was reported by E! earlier that Kanye West and Jay-Z, two of the names more conspicuously absent from this year's roster of VMA performers, would indeed be gracing the stage of the Nokia Theater tonight. The duo are still in the midst of the media blitz promoting their recent Watch the Throne duet project, which so far has encompassed a much-ballyhooed nationwide tour, a pop-up store, and a couple of mysterious listening parties. The pair have rumored to be beefing some of late, though, so it will be interesting to see if the two actually do much (if any) interacting during the performance—and whether or not they'll be joined by Beyoncé, also in attendance, for WTT collaboration "Lift Off."
