Academy Of Country Music Awards 2015—Nominations Revealed!

This year's Academy of Country Music Awards celebrates its 50th anniversary since inception. Unlike previous years, the prestigious show will take place for a one-off season at the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and will continue the long-standing tradition of honoring the best-selling and brightest songs, albums and country music artists of the past year. To reveal the impressive list of nominees, the organization used it's various social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) on Friday (Jan. 30) to unwrap each nail-biting category.

Miranda Lambert, bolstered by her wide-ranging Platinum, landed eight nominations, including Song of the Year ("Automatic") and Album of the Year. Dierks Bentley (seven), Florida Georgia Line (five), Eric Church (four), Luke Bryan (four) and Jason Aldean (three) round out the top contenders. A few surprises? Garth Brooks, after a lengthy hiatus, is still quite the touring draw and lands in Entertainer of the Year category, with Lambert, Bryan, Aldean, and Florida Georgia Line (another surprising inclusion). Elsewhere, newcomer and accomplished songwriter Brandy Clark (The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two," Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart") squeezes out a deserved nod for Female Vocalist, alongside Carrie Underwood, Lambert, Martina McBride and Kacey Musgraves.

The live awards show will cap a three-day extravaganza, which also includes the 3rd annual ACM Party for a Cause® Festival: 50 Years of Music & Memories. More than 30 different artists are slated to perform on a wide range of stages, with proceeds benefiting various charitable organizations (yet to be announced). Find out more info here.

New Artist of the Year semi-finalists were revealed earlier in the week. Fans can now vote for their favorite through Feb. 10. From there, the top three nominees and final ballot will then be unveiled for the second round of voting (which starts April 8). The ultimate winner will be announced during the upcoming show.

Blake Shelton and Bryan are slated to return as co-hosts for the Sunday, April 19 live event. It will be broadcast on CBS at 8/7c.
