adele when we were young first listen
There is something innately earth-shattering about Adele's voice.
Perhaps, it is the way she caress the lyrics, allows them to take on a life of their very own. Or, maybe, it is how she lingers on the notes just long enough to beckon you into her musical web.
Despite having undergone vocal surgery a few years ago and giving birth to a bouncing baby boy, she returns to expansive form with her new tracks Hello—which spends its third week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 scoreboard—and her new release When We Were Young, a sweltering tear-jerker lifted from her long-awaited third studio album 25 (out on Friday).
Recorded at London’s Church, the magical live rendition encapsulates the widest scope of the British singer's range, sweeping from the chilling lows to the dizzying highs.
"It was just like a movie. It was just like a song," Adele recalls of a former flame. She later ponders, "A part of me keeps holding on, just in case it hasn't gone. I guess, I still care. Do you still care?"
When We Were Young was produced by Tobias Jesso Jr.
Fans can now pre-order 25 on iTunes.
