While his Parks and Recreation character Tom Haverford has a burgeoning, snapple entertainment business called Entertainment 720 with his boy Jean-Ralphio, Aziz Ansari is equally plugged into pop culture, particularly hip-hop. "I'm [a] pretty big [fan]," he told New York's Hot 97 DJs Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg. "But right now I only listen to Watch The Throne." The "Otis" video special guest explained how he came to be the "only other star" in Jay-Z and Kanye West's clip, after some strategically crafted fandom helped him befriend Yeezy, and make rolling up to secret My Dark Twisted Fantasy shows three to four nerds deep totally acceptable, if not enviable. "[There's] chicks, Jay-Z, Kanye [West] and Aziz [Ansari]," marvels Rosenberg. Along with explaining why Indian weddings are more fun than American weddings (elephants), Ansari also shares a valuable nugget of insight into the mind of Sean Carter that even Life+Times can't provide: he doesn't fuck with Steven Spielberg's alien tearjerker E.T. Watch as the radio personalities stare in awe of Aziz's pull in rap world, and all three giggle over a text message from Mr. Carter himself.
