We've heard two different versions of what the birth of Princess Carter may or may not have sounded like, and now TMZ has gotten its hands on photos of the space that welcomed Blue Ivy into this big, beautiful world, an executive maternity suite at New York's Lenox Hill Hospital. From the photo above, the suite boasts four flat-screen televisions—in case the newly enlarged family is already having trouble agreeing on something to watch—spread across a kitchenette, living area and comfy bed for Jay-Z's much needed sleepytime. (Recording that post-pregnancy song is hard work.) Overall, it appears a lot more luxurious than the cramped surroundings most pregnant women are stuck in, with ample space to record baby's first rhymes. Maybe giving birth isn't so scary after all? Sorry, must be the epidural talking.
Reps for the hospital have already denied giving any preferential treatment to the couple, and have now gone so far as to clear up lingering rumors that the fancy quarters were conceived and designed specifically for the family. It turns out Bey and Jay paid the room's cost in full—which runs up to a cool $800 per night, according to the New York Daily News—and were just lucky enough to be the first family to check in after construction was finished. Alas, things like this just seem to happen to the Carter-Knowles clan.
