Johnson, the first black model to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine, confides that she was invited to Cosby's house in the mid-80s to read for a part on The Cosby Show.
According to Johnson, Cosby first invited her to brunch, to make her feel comfortable being alone with him. On her second visit, Cosby persuaded her to drink some 'special' coffee, which instantly made her dizzy.
Thanks to her awareness of being drugged, Johnson fought to stay conscious and cursed at the star repeatedly for taking advantage of her. Finally, Cosby angrily grabbed her arm and dragged her downstairs, dumping her into a taxi.
Days later, when she pulled herself together, Johnson says she called Cosby to confront him, but was told by Camille Cosby that it was too late for him to take her call.
Why didn't Beverly Johnson report this incident? The answer should be familiar by now.
'At a certain moment it became clear that I would be fighting a losing battle with a powerful man so callous he not only drugged me, but he also gave me the number to the bedroom he shared with his wife.'
