Together with his adopted teenage brother, they are on the run, their only protection being a weapon of little known powers.
A doctor has built his life around being the son of housemaid and holding a quiet practice in the countryside. During the summer of 1948 he is called to work at a hall where his mother once worked herself. He is asked to care for a patient in the aging house as all of its residents as well as the structure itself are in extreme decline. Soon enough he will discover that he might have even more connections to this story than he first thought.

A violent heist that affected a co-worker has been haunting a bank manager, so he teams up with his ex-cop neighbor to take down the assailant. They must work together to see if they can be a step ahead of the criminal by following him to his town and tracking his every move. Things get even nastier when the criminal takes captive the bank manager's family members, making it a case of life or death.
And our ⭐️ TOP PICK ⭐️ ...
We loved this film at Sundance and we still love it now! A young woman living in a coastal English town is sick and tired of her boyfriend obsessing over a 1980s musician. When she comments on his fan blog expressing this, an unexpected reply follows from the musician himself. As the two enter into a pen-pal relationship, wonderful things take everyone by surprise.
Really like a film you've seen or know of one coming out soon that we should check out? Shoot me an email and let me know!
Rachel A.G. Gilman is a writer, a former radio producer, and probably the girl wearing the Kinks shirt. She is the creator of The Rational Creature and suggests you check it out. Also visit her website for more.
