Breaking Bad NOT Returning For Season 6—Reports Are A Hoax!

Breaking Bad is NOT coming back for a 6th and final season, despite COMPLETELY made-up reports to the contrary.

The rumors started when a idiotic news site (which claims to be satire and is clearly not) wrote an article saying Vince Gilligan told CNN on Sunday night there would indeed be one more season, due to start filming in January 2015.

In an act of breathtaking fraud, this website straight up just INVENTED quotes from Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, etc, about how excited they were to be returning and how hard it was to keep it a secret.

For example, here is one of the completely bogus quotes attributed to Gilligan:

“Bryan [Cranston] called me up about five months ago and said he had this incredibly lucid dream in which Walt wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by the DEA, ends up breaking out of prison and finds out he’s got fans. This isn’t a redemption story, it’s got a bleak, dark premise. I can’t give away any more of the details, but let’s just say Walt has quite a bit of unfinished business to attend to, and it sure as hell has nothing to do with teaching high school science.”

SERIOUSLY?

What sucks is people REALLY REALLY love the show, and so many wanted it to be true because who WOULDN'T want to have that crew back?

As disappointing as this is, at least the show ended perfectly instead of ruining an entire franchise with a sub-par addition (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, I'm looking at you).

Meanwhile, as Popdust previously reported, at least we still have Better Call Saul!
