The NFL is expected to announce plans to have the Hawaiian "If I Was Your Man" crooner play the coveted Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show this season at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Although Mars hasn't been a name for as long as last year's performer (y'know, Beyonce), he's sold over 58 million records worldwide and has won just about every music award you can.
As long as the lights stay on this year, we think it'll be a performance to treasure.
