Well apparently it has! A Japanese woman is saying that she jerked her way to a healthy weight—and we have to believe her because she has a PhD and everything!

Ramani Durvasula is a physchologist and found herself 80lbs overweight after getting out of her unhappy sex-free marriage. She needed to focus on getting the pounds off and staying on her diet for the long haul, so she developed a unique method of rewarding herself for sticking to her diet and fitness plan.

Sounding scarily logical, Durvasula explains that she devised a list of things that gave her pleasure, to use as a reward when she successfully managed not to succumb to her favorite fattening foods. The list was pretty short—reading, writing and having orgasms. Presumably as her marriage was sexless she'd been at it a lot, so it's only natural that's what sprung to her mind when she tried to figure out what she enjoyed.

She says;

"It's a very simple premise of human behavior that if a behavior is followed by a reward, we tend to repeat it...I put the cookie down, I masturbate, I have an orgasm—and I associate putting down a cookie with an orgasm. Basically the reward has to be rewarding."

Kinda like teaching a dog sit because it knows it's going to get a treat.

But what happens when you fancy a cookie when you are at work? Or walking down the street? Or at your parents' house? You can't exactly knock one out and expect horrified onlookers to understand that you are just rewarding yourself.

The orgasmic doctor has the answer to this conundrum;
