Here's something to mull over while the World Series gets underway and Glee stays on hiatus for two more weeks: Chord Overstreet is working towards a return to the show. TVLine reports that Overstreet is in talks to revisit his recurring character of Sam Evans, beginning as early as the show's eighth episode in December. "We missed Chord and Chord missed us," a source says. "It’s a win-win." We were told that Sam left town because his dad got a job out of state—when in reality Overstreet's contract as a series regular was not renewed, leading him to book a guest appearance on The Middle, while maintaining he wanted to focus on his music career—so start thinking of some scenarios that will bring the Evans family's golden child back to Lima. Season three has been light on the guest stars, and Overstreet was a key member of New Directions last year, at least when it came to dating its female members. And now that his summer romance Mercedes is dating Marcus, we'd love to see a guy-centric duet between the two men in her life that attempts to win her over. "Same Girl" by Usher and R.Kelly? We're open to suggestions. The most important thing to ponder here, really, is whether or not he'll have to dye his hair back to blonde.
