Having the number one album in the country in a slow sales week does not give you carte blanche to say idiotic things without consequences, Jayceon Taylor. We're mostly fans of yours here at Popdust, but lately, you just can't seem to stop saying things, and perhaps just due to law of averages, a couple of them have come out as stoopider than stoopid. Most recently, Taylor sat down with good buddy Vlad of Vlad TV, where he was asked a couple questions about homosexuality and how it relates to the rap game.

Game offered the standard celebrity assortment of disclaimers before making his comments—"Do you," "It's a free country," "Game don't have a problem with gay people," even "Beyoncé shoulda said 'Who run the world? Gays!'"—before qualifying that he does have a problem with closeted gays. Why?

"Because...you could be fooling somebody, and you could give them AIDS. And you could die...And then that shit spreads, because that girl you might be fooling might leave you and go find another dude who ain't gay, give him the disease, and he go cheats on her...it's an ongoing thing, man. So it ain't cool to be in the closet. So if you gay, just say you gay."

It's probably a good thing that it actually comes off as shocking in this day and age to hear that Game, who usually seems like one of the smarter rappers out right now, appears to believe that all homosexuals automatically have AIDS (especially the closeted ones that sleep with women), and that hearing him explain his theory to Vlad as if he's explaining to him why you shouldn't mix your whites with your colors while doing laundry is legitimately upsetting. Still, even if Game's ignorance marks progress by contrast to the increasingly enlightened norm, he should still probably just stop talking altogether for a little while. We don't want to risk his idiocy ruining our future karaoke performances of "Hate it Or Love It." (Though, to be honest, we prefer doing 50's part in that way anyway.)
