Drake Drops 4 New Tracks, Disses Cudi, Announces New Mixtape

Drake addresses Cudi beef, Lil Wayne and Cash Money beef, and announces a new tape for December.

This weekend on his OVO Sound Radio show on Apple Music's Beats1Radio, Drake dropped four previously unreleased tracks and announced a new mixtape called "More Life" that he referred to as a "playlist with the homies."

The mixtape, or "play list," as Drake called it, will drop in December. It's likely to be full of features from his OVO collective which includes PartyNextDoor, Roy Wood$ (of "Drama" fame), and Majid Jordan.

Three of the new tracks were originally produced and one of them is a remix of British emcee Dave. The other three tracks include a "4PM in Calabasas" style confessional called "Two Birds One Stone" in which he addresses the Lil Wayne and Cash Money beef saying "free C5, how the f*ck they got the boss waiting?" and taking that same rhyme scheme to address the vague shade Kid Cudi threw at him a few months ago saying "you was the man on the moon/ now you just going through phases."

The second track was a fast-paced trap song called "Sneaking" featuring 21 Savage. This song was a pretty straightforward Soundcloud trap joint. Definitely worth a listen but nothing distinct about it. Drake definitely out-raps 21 on that one.

The last original track is called "Fake Love" and has actually been performed live recently in Houston. This one is the radio hit material. Drake sings about the fake friendship and romance he's experienced since being a star. No new lyrical ground is really broken here but the track is catchy as hell.

The remix of UK rapper Dave's "Wanna Know" is available on Dave's Soundcloud profile right now and is pretty standard as far as remixes go but also worth a listen. Drake expounds on the benefits of being famous in London and Dave hits you with the same grabby hook from the original.

Save for the first track, all of the songs have been taken down multiple times, but as of right now this page is hosting all three tracks and has an embed of the Soundcloud "Wanna Know".

Check 'em out and be sure to keep one eye open for "More Life" this December.
