Watch out Fifty Shades of Grey - there is a clean, religious movie called Old Fashioned that is hitting theaters on the same day!
From the same Christian finance firm that brought us God's Not Dead and Heaven Is for Real, Old Fashioned will be released on February 14, 2015.
AKA Valentine's Day.
AKA the exact same date Fifty Shades is being released.
Starring Elizabeth Ann Roberts and Rik Swartzwelder (who also wrote and directed the movie), the film tells the story of a former frat boy and a free-spirited woman who find love without bondage or tampon-related shenanigans.
"Chivalry is making a comeback" is the tagline of the film, and Swartzwelder is already comparing the two movies to David and Goliath.
"I wanted to tell a love story that takes the idea of Godly romance seriously," he explained. "A story that, without apology, explores the possibility of a higher standard in relationships; yet, is also fully aware of just how fragile we all are and doesn't seek to heap guilt upon those of us that have made mistakes."
