That song you heard on Glee—and may have purchased on iTunes subsequently—continues to reap the benefits of its prime-time exposure. 2012 brings us the official video for Fun.'s "We Are Young," featuring Janelle Monae, a depiction of the message of solidarity and celebration of the underdog that warrants the track's "anthemic" label. In the clip, the well-dressed band performs to a crowd of texting loners, before an epic food fight breaks out within the venue. Bottles smash, milk spurts, tomatoes are crushed and a couple makes out amidst a storm of converging leftovers, yet the total chaos fails to derail the band's performance—we hope those tuxes aren't rentals—or ruffle Monae's hair. This isn't too similar to the first unofficial clip, but still the food theme remains.
But with all the help the band is getting from its Glee benefactors, maybe they should have extended an invitation to the cast members to drop by the video shoot? They do have experience with flying food particles. Fun.'s second album Some Nights is out February 21. Watch below.
