The Recording Academy has revealed the nominees in four leading categories, during a live announcement on CBS This Morning on Fri. (Dec. 5), for the 2015 Grammy Awards. Pop hit-makers Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran were on hand to unveil the prestigious first list, along with Entertainment Tonight host Nancy Dell. Record of the Year, Best Country Album, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Urban Contemporary Album were announced during the hit morning show. Sam Smith is an early frontrunner, with two nods so far (Pop Vocal Album for In The Lonely Hour and Record of the Year for "Stay With Me"). The latter category is rounded out by "Fancy" (Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX), "Shake It Off" (Taylor Swift), "Chandelier" (Sia) and "All About That Bass" (Meghan Trainor). Album of the Year will be saved for tonight's A Very Grammy Christmas event at 9/8c on CBS. Smith, Williams, Ariana Grande (with Big Sean for "Best Mistake"), Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Mary J. Blige are set to perform, with LL Cool J hosting.
The 57th Annual Grammy Awards are slated for Feb. 8, 2015 and will be broadcast on CBS at 8/7c.
