This week’s episode of Homeland should’ve been titled ‘How Uncomfortable Can We Make Our Viewers?’
Carrie, as we all know, isn’t the most stable person on the planet, but she hits a new low in her ability to manipulate and exploit when she beds young Aayan, Haqqani’s nephew, in an attempt to get information from him. Seriously, is it even legal for this young actor to be doing these things with Claire Danes?!
When Aayan wakes up next to Carrie after his first night of boom-boom, he’s literally a giddy little boy. Carrie wakes up as well and leaves to get pastries, but more importantly to talk to Saul. When she returns, Aayan has his shit together wanting to leave, but Carrie uses her Jedi mind fuck to convince him to stay and scares him into believing that his life is in danger if he leaves. He’s also ashamed about the night of dirty, dirty sex because he was a virgin and Carrie promises that nothing like that will happen again if he stays. Yeah freaking right.
Carrie, being the CIA mastermind that she is, begins to interview Aayan for a fake newspaper article that she’s not writing in an attempt to get information out of him. Aayan tells her stories of happy times with his uncle, but when she mentions that Haqqani might still be alive, Aayan shuts down. She immediately switches the conversation to Brody to get Aayan’s mind off of Haqqani. She gets emotional (possibly real, but probably fake) then Aayan asks if they can have sex again. What happened to the shame, Aayan? Did your penis get in the way?
Meanwhile at the airport, Saul spies Farhad Ghazi. As he’s following him, he calls Carrie’s phone but surprise, surprise it goes to voicemail. Saul calls Quinn to give him Ghazi’s flight details so they can prepare to follow him when he lands. Later Saul follows Ghazi into the bathroom where Ghazi stabs Saul in the neck with a syringe and wheels him out of the airport. NOOOOOO!!! Not Saul!!!!!
Quinn and Fara are on stakeout, and when the man they’re watching leaves his apartment, they follow him in the car then call Carrie because they need a drone to follow him. But guess what? She’s too busy shagging a testosterone fueled adolescent to answer her phone. They loose him, and later when the man is going through border security, we find out that Saul is tied up and gagged in his car.
The next day, Quinn goes to Carrie and yells at her for missing both his and Saul’s calls and also for banging a child. When she returns upstairs to Aayan (who is in a sex induced haze), he confesses to her that Haqqani is actually alive. Well, there you have it. You really can fuck the brains out of someone.
