Since kick starting my health journey, I've felt more confident than I have ever before. I finally feel like I can keep up with all of my friends. Out of all of us, I was the one who always avoided anything that had to do with fitness. Most of them are runners, so they run 5Ks together, have gym dates, go hiking—I always passed. I tried running to lose weight and boost my energy, but it didn't work because I just wasn't committed. I hated feeling out of breath and uncomfortable.
I decided to change my lifestyle, and I knew my diet would have to be modified, too. I tried Nutrisystem, and I'm finally feeling energized and seeing great results. Every month I get delicious, perfectly-portioned meals delivered to my door. Plus,I'm able to eat every two to three hours, which keeps me satisfied all day long. I can even enjoy snacks like a chocolate cupcake or an ice cream sandwich. Nutrisystem makes sure the meals are nutritious and balanced, so I don't have to worry about counting calories or tracking points. This meal plan has made me feel better about myself than I have in years.
For me, Nutrisystem has been an easy way to shed the pounds without having to worry about what I'm eating. Nutrisystem does the thinking for me.
I even feel my energy levels have gotten a lot better, since I'm no longer out of breath when doing simple things like climbing a flight of stairs. So much so, that I even finally agreed to take up yoga classes with my friends. Running just isn't my thing, so I was happy to try another form of fitness with my friends. To my surprise and after a few sessions, I'm already hooked. I love that yoga relaxes me and gets my body moving, since I live a more sedentary lifestyle. Here are some of my favorite yoga poses:
1. Upward-facing Dog
Upward dog opens up the hips and helps stretch the shoulders and chest to expand breathing. It also helps to improve posture and is a great exercise for a firmer butt.
2. Triangle Pose
The triangle pose targets places like the hamstrings and inner thighs. It also strengthens and stretches the muscles around the knee and helps alleviate back pain.
The Warrior II Pose relieves backaches and stretches the legs, groins and chest while strengthening the muscles in the thighs and buttocks.
4. Head to Knee Pose
This pose helps relieve fatigue and stretches the spine, shoulders, hamstrings and groins. It also gradually improves flexibility in the legs.
5. Chair Pose
The Chair Pose helps to reduce flat feet. It also tones the leg muscles, strengthens the hip flexors and lengthens the spine.
Not only have these yoga poses helped me deal with some of my body's soreness and mental stress, they are also the perfect complement to my new healthy lifestyle with the help of Nutrisystem. I was already shedding pounds thanks to the new meal plan, but now, with yoga, it seems like they're coming off even quicker!
