Hugh Jackman takes us through Broadway classics "Luck Be A Lady," "Singing In The Rain" and "I Got Rhythm" in a preview for Back On Broadway his one-man show, which begins previews tonight in New York. He may not be a pop star—just a really, really tall Australian with good genes and strong song and dance skills—but he more than holds his own while singing a collection of his personal favorites. Most recently making the ridiculous-seeming Real Steel not a complete disaster (some would even say hit!), Jackman won a Tony Award as Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz in 2004, before taking his skills to the Oscar stage as host in 2009. He'll continue to honor his musical roots in the upcoming feature film version of Les Miserables, alongside Anne Hathaway. Box office success is great, but his ability to captivate an audience with just a pair of tap shoes and thick Aussie accent reinforces the fact that he's so much better than the comic book series he's been attached to for all these years, as well as the occasional flat, period piece. Have you thought about your own album? Back On Broadway begins its 10-week run at New York's Broadhurst Theater on November 10. Channel your inner theater geek by watching a preview below.
