Iggy Azalea has dominated the pop airwaves in 2014, so it's not surprising that she's named the "Chart-Topper" for this year's Billboard Women In Music event. Hot off the heels of such hits as "Problem" (with Ariana Grande), "Fancy" (featuring Charli XCX) and "Black Widow" (with Rita Ora)—she gets around, doesn't she?—the Australian rapper will be honored at the Dec. 12 ceremony in New York City. Charli XCX and Jessie J have also been added, with such titles as "Hitmaker" and "Powerhouse," respectively, for needed emphasis.
They join previously announced honorees Taylor Swift, Aretha Franklin, Grande, Idina Menzel and Paramore's Hayley Williams.
On Fri. (Dec. 5), Azalea scored a collection of nominations for the 57th Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album (for The New Classic), Best New Artist and Record of the Year for "Fancy." In the BNA field, she faces off against country newcomer Brandy Clark, Bastille, HAIM and Grammy frontrunner Sam Smith (he has five nominations so far).
The Billboard Women In Music honorees are as follows:
Taylor Swift: Woman of the Year
Aretha Franklin: Icon
Ariana Grande: Rising Star
Hayley Williams: Trailblazer
Iggy Azalea: Chart-Topper
Idina Menzel: Breakthrough Artist
Charli XCX: Hitmaker
