Stephanie Lee’s story is an amazing one indeed—and more importantly, it could revolutionize the way the medical industry treats cancer.
After being diagnosed with colon cancer Lee underwent surgery to remove several tumors, and although the procedure went well the New Orleans woman was entering a time of uncertainty.
Eric Schadt and Ross Cagan, two oncologists at Mount Sinai Hospital believed Lee should be treated with alternative methods to the standard chemotherapy offered—but she first had to undergo conventional treatment…
And that’s when the story took an amazing turn.
“I hope that we look back on this five years from now and just smile at all that has been done since, how this was really the beginning of it all,” Schadt says.
