The fact that the 15 seconds of Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Otis" video preview are almost all taken up by the over-sized font declaring this a JAY-Z, KANYE, SPIKE JONZE creation shouldn't surprise, given the level to which Watch The Throne has been promoted: two album trailers, a documentary, the (potentially fake) feud and those Hitler comments. Were you expecting to see the ghost of Otis Redding reincarnated? Beyoncé modeling the newest fall fashions? For now, you'll have to settle for three literal big names, plus shots of Kanye screaming in front of flames, Jay's dramatic circling around the fire and playtime with AV accessories. An American flag-outfitted trailer looms in the background to declare their joint patriotism and slightly irresponsible travel choices, lest those Hitler remarks have you confused, but doesn't the automobile bragging Kanye does on the track warrant something a little more petite expensive? The Jonze-directed video premieres in full Thursday night at 8:56 p.m. on MTV, MTV2, and BET.
