Following a few years of RedOne-helmed club-pop hits, Jenny from the block is officially back with another new hip-hop single, "I Luh Ya Papi."
Yeah, the title is terrible, but the song itself isn't too bad. J.Lo serves staccato rap-singing over spacey synths and a military drum beat courtesy of Detail, who also produced Beyonce's mega-hit "Drunk In Love." The repetitive rapid-fire hook is beyond annoying, but it'll certainly stick to your brain whether you like it or not, and isn't that the whole point?
French Montana adds to the urban flavour with an innocuous guest rap, although we don't expect to see any real hip-hop heads blasting "I Luh Ya Papi" any time soon.
