JK Rowling publishes New Harry Potter Story, Boy Wizard Becomes Auror

JK Rowling has written a new Harry Potter short story, revealing a further glimpse into what happens to Harry, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley as adults! Hurrah!

As we know from the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry and Ginny Weasley marry, as do Hermione and Ron. The new 1,500-word story takes this further, showing us what careers the famous friends end up having and where they are in life at 34 years old.

The group are reunited at the Quidditch World Cup, where they are guests of honor. Harry is now an Auror (with a new scar on his cheek), Ron is co-manager of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes with brother George after working for two years at the Ministry of Magic.

Hermione, of course, is Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

Harry and Ginny's son Albus is also mentioned in the story, as is the gloriously wicked Rita Skeeter, still scribbling away for the Daily Prophet.
