Justin Timberlake Finally Admits Why He Left 'N Sync

Justin Timberlake is opening up about his decision to leave 'N Sync back in the halcyon days of 2002.

Talking to Oprah Winfrey (who else?) he admits leaving the band was both the best and worst decision he's ever made.

According to Justin, the song Bye Bye Bye is what really inspired him to go solo.

"I would wake up every morning feeling this more and more of an urge to step out on my own," Justin said. "Everyone was thinking: 'Why wouldn't you ride this out? You're the biggest group in the world. Why would you walk away from this?' It's one of the best/worst things that I have ever done. It was bittersweet. It was hard to say goodbye to that era, but I felt it changing. I felt music changing. And I felt myself changing."
