There was a lot of negativity surrounding the first-week sales of Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience - 2 Of 2 after the disc failed to match the blockbuster sales of its first instalment, but the album has proved to be a solid seller in the long run.
This week, The 20/20 Experience - 2 Of 2 topped the 1 million sales mark in the U.S., while total worldwide sales are estimated to be at around 1.5 million copies.
The late success of the album can mostly likely be attributed to third single "Not Such a Bad Thing," which became the first song from 2 Of 2 to reach the top ten of the Hot 100. It went Platinum last week, and currently sits at No. 16 on the Hot 100.
Meanwhile, JT's 20/20 Experience World Tour has already grossed a staggering $148 million worldwide -- and it still has about 50 dates left until it wraps up.
As they say, slow and steady really does win the race.
