Page Six posted the tape on Wednesday, and while it reveals Kanye's emotional volatility, it raises the question of why Taylor Swift is such a trope in his troubled psyche.
When the tape begins, we hear Kanye griping:
Look at that shit, they took my fucking stage off a 'SNL' without asking me. Now I'm bummed. That and Taylor Swift, fake ass.
Kanye appears to be directing his rant at SNL staff, but a Kanye source denies this, telling Rolling Stone:
This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team. He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show's lighting director without anyone's approval.
In the tape, Kayne sounds like he's threatening to walk off the show:
Now I ain't gonna do this, we're breaking the motherfucking internet. I went through six years of this fucking shit. Let's get to it, bro. Let's get to it, bro.
Then, Nutcase Kanye takes over, the egotistical maniac we all thought was just a role he plays:
Are they fucking crazy, bro? By 50 percent. Stanley Kubrick, Apostle Paul, Picasso... fucking Picasso and Escobar. By 50 percent, more influential than any other human being. Don't fuck with me. Don't fuck with me. Don't fuck with me. By 50 percent, dead or alive, by 50 percent for the next thousand years. Stanley Kubrick. Ye.
WOW, the next thousand years?? That is pretty sobering.
The Kanye source insists that the rant was warranted, explaining:
He spent an entire day rehearsing and a lot of hard work into the performance. Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided.
In the end, as we know, West went on to perform two songs on the show and was later seen in friendly conversation with producer Lorne Michaels and some SNL staff.
What we don't know is why Kanye isn't being properly medicated.
Stand by for Fake Ass Taylor Swift to respond.
