"Sing it! Louder!" Kelly Clarkson yelled, with a slightly angry tone, during her performance of "Since U Been Gone" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday. In her defense, she's probably been asked to sing this song 3426 times a week since 2005. And if she knows the words, shouldn't the rest of us? Clarkson stopped by to promote her upcoming album Stronger, out October 24, with a performance of new single "Mr. Know It All." Now with past drama well behind her, she'd probably like to focus on the present, yet that rascally DeGeneres managed to squeeze a performance of the American Idol OG's early hit out of her—not that we're complaining. Watch Clarkson deliver both with more than the expected power, and avoid a near wardrobe malfunction with a depth-defying dress. Even if you're not as fond of this track as Ellen and her studio audience, "Since U Been Gone" is still one killer karaoke jam. All future Idol/X Factor/Next Best Greatest Talent Performer Of The World hopefuls, take note.
