This morning, a spokesperson for Kim Kardashian-West informed press that the reality star had been held at gunpoint inside her Parisian hotel last night.

Multiple sources report that a gang of men disguised as police officers entered the mansion Kim was staying at during Paris Fashion Week and carried out the heist. CNN reports the five men "threatened the concierge at the mansion with a weapon, handcuffed him and forced him to open the private apartment." It is reported that the men then held Kim at gunpoint, locked her in the bathroom and stole two cellphones and jewelry. The gunmen walked away with $10 million worth of jewelry, including a ring worth $4 million and a jewelry box of contents collectively worth $5 million, The New York Times reported.

This announcement answers fans' concerns over the Kardashian-West family's well-being after Kanye West abruptly ended his performance at The Meadows last night. After coming on stage thirty minutes late, the rapper suddenly stopped in the middle of his performance of "Heartless" and delivered a quick and trite "I'm sorry. I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show."

Audience members immediately ran to Twitter to express their confusion and anger.

After news of the robbery broke, the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgoldago offered her support and sympathy to Mrs. Kardashian-West and reiterated the safety of Paris during fashion week, which has particularly come under attack from her opponents this year.

"I express my support and I want to tell her that she will always be welcome in Paris. I have every confidence in the police force, as part of the ongoing investigation, to quickly identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this attack. This rare act of violence occurred in a private area, which does not call into question the work of the police and the security of public areas in Paris," the mayor said.
