Fresh reports have come out of the much covered and talked about Kim Kardashian robbery fiasco. Officials are reporting there was no surveillance footage to be retrieved from Kim's apartment… as the luxury building does not have security cameras, TMZ reports. The news is surprising, and confusing, as the apartment goes for $25,000 a night and one would assume airtight security features would surely come along with the high sticker price.
There is some potentially good news, however. There are reports that a CCTV camera from a shop across the street from the apartment caught a clear view of the thieves and that police have obtained the footage.
News of Kim's robbery has received an interesting mixture of sympathy and criticism from the public. The best example of this is Karl Lagerfeld, who after the attack immediately went to Instagram to wish Kim well. However, only a few days passed, Karl has now adopted a more condescending set of words towards the reality star, criticizing her for being flashy and sharing too much information with the public.
Lagerfeld told the Associated Press, "[She is] too public, too public — we have to see in what time we live. You cannot display your wealth then be surprised that some people want to share it," he said after the Chanel show. "I don't understand why [Kardashian] was in a hotel with no security and things like this. If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room," he went on to say.
There have not been any new statements released from the Kardashian-West clan. The only person from the Kardashian family who has spoke on the matter is Caitlyn Jenner, who went to Instagram to wish Kim well after some fans called Caitlyn insensitive.
Caitlyn and Kylie are currently on vacation in Turks and were attacked by some fans for "offensive" Instagram posts after Kim's attack. The day following the attack, Kylie posted a picture of herself in a bathing suit on the beach and Caitlyn posted a picture of herself next to a race car. We're just gonna assume they had yet to receive the full story regarding the tragic event.
