It's Adam Lambert's world, and we just live in it. The glam-rocker has finally unleashed a beast of a new track, the Welcome to the Show stunner, featuring Swedish-Iranian singer-songwriter Laleh. Pinned together with a tinkling piano core and a ghostly, synthetic pulse, the new song fuses together ground-swelling percussion, a mesmerizing melody and a blistering vocal.
“I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring,” Lambert has said of the hazy anthem. “I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on ‘Ghost Town,’ and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are.”
Lambert is expected to return to the American Idol stage tonight to perform the song. The Top 5 elimination/performance show airs on FOX at 8/7c.
Welcome to the Show follows last year's explosive The Original High studio album. Grab the new track now on iTunes.
