Lost In Los Angeles, otherwise known as Lila, are not your typical indie-pop music-makers. Combining sweeping melodies and searing lyrics, their sun-baked brand of impassioned vibrancy digs deep into hope, love and humanity. The trio, comprised of Danny Klein (vocals, piano, synth, beats), Eddie Deering (guitar, synth, beats) and Clark Souter (bass, vocals, beats), are sojourning to South By Southwest (SXSW) this week in Austin.
Ahead of their special performance, the group has partnered with Popdust to exclusively premiere their brand new single "Cloud City," which hits iTunes on Tuesday, March 11. The mid-tempo track serves as the lead-in to their forthcoming Love Is Fate, the follow-up to 2010's self-titled release and last year's The Hovering EP. LiLa expects to drop the new album this summer.
Drawing significant influences from the likes of Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin and Elton John, Lost In Los Angeles are also offering up a free download of a B-side, the equally stunning "Illuminati."
During SXSW, the band is set to perform at The Shiner Saloon (March 12 at 3:20 p.m.), Heart Of Texas Rockfest on the Main Outdoor Stage (March 13 at 10:00 p.m.), the Big Picture Media Showcase at The Blind Pig rooftop (March 14 at noon) and the Blue Moon (March 14 at 10:00 p.m.)
