Why you gotta be so good, Magic!? With the No. 1 song in the country (currently setting flames to the Hot 100 right now), the throwback singer took to Good Morning America on Fri. (Aug. 24) to perform his groovy hit "Rude." With a cool confidence, the singer glistened across the stage, much to the screaming satisfaction of the crowd. Hailing from Toronto (originally), the band's fame strikes at a time when Top 40 is as diverse as ever, finding a home on the format that also houses Katy Perry, Lorde and Taylor Swift.
"I had this picture in my head of a guy asking a father for his marriage blessing and getting rejected,” frontman Nasri Atweh previously shared of "Rude." He added, “It’s fun, soulful, easy, and you know the hook right away. That’s what we want our songs to do.”
The band also performed "Let Your Hair Down," the new single and another cut from their album Don't Kill The Magic.

To wrap the performance, the band took a spin at Cyndi Lauper's signature hit "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," laying down a decidedly more reggae (akin to their natural style) version, spun with hip-hop flavor and modern swagger.
