Electro-pop diva Megan Vice is here and ready to save pop music in 2016. She's hypnotic and fierce and provocative. "For every little bitch that said we'd never make it, look at us now. No trippin' cause we made it," Vice hisses on the dirty-pop banger Hold U Down -- it's one of many euphoric, club sparklers on her brand new Spread the News EP, premiering exclusively today. The seven-track escape is as '80s as it is modern; Vice heaves and sighs across the glittery dance-floor with sheepishness and vulgarity but always with an air of liberation, sensitivity and charm. The title track evokes the jingle-jangle of The Bangles and the effervescent glow of the Go-Gos, leaving you want more and treating you to a mesmerizing string of hooks and sugary sweetness.

Ghost is haunting and slinky, while No Good for Nothing (featuring Sam Lochow) is monumentally groovy and inescapable. The EP contains a slew of producer credits, including Fake Money, The Golden Pony, Young Science and French Horn Rebellion -- and Vice spins in the executive producer chair with Bill Coleman. Later, the singer's cool rendering of Taylor Dayne's 1988 classic Tell It to My Heart weaves together dark webs and lightness; it's a rather apt closer to this '80s tribute collection. "This project is really special to me. Each track represents a different corner of my personality and I'm really happy to get to share it with people," Vice shares with Popdust of the project -- which drops on all major digital retailers this Friday (Aug. 12).

She continues, "All the collaborations on this piece happened very organically and I feel extremely proud and grateful to have worked with the people that I did on this. I made these songs because they're what I wanted to listen to, what I wanted to hear when I turn on the radio - they make me feel free and sexy and empowered and I hope they can do the same thing for others."

Spread the news by spreading Vice's astounding and impressive Spread the News EP. You won't regret it.
