After much speculation that the void created when Enrique Iglesias stepped down from opening duties on Britney Spears' Femme Fatale tour would be filled by current hip-hop queen bee Nicki Minaj, the partnership now appears to be confirmed. TMZ reports that Minaj will in fact be joining Spears on the tour, saying that "everyone involved in the concert is relieved Enrique Iglesias' ego couldn't handle opening for Britney and feel Nicki will be infinitely better." (Frankly, we tend to agree—especially if it means a dead-eyed Britney struggling to stay upright while receiving one of Minaj's now-signature lapdances.)

The Femme Fatale tour kicks off in Sacramento, CA on June 17th and encompasses 26 dates nationwide.
