Norman Reedus was offered the male romantic lead in Jennifer Love Hewitt's 2001movie Heartbreakers - but turned it down because he wanted dark roles only.

The Walking Dead star would have considered the movie had there been any raping or murdering in it, but nope. So he had to say no thanks... a decision we're sure he is thankful for every day since.

"When that came around at the time, my agents at the time were, 'They like you for this part, and it's a Jennifer Love Hewitt movie.' And I'm like, 'Well, what do I do?'" Norman told GQ.

"And they're, 'You're her boyfriend'. And I go, 'Well, do I rape her? Do I kill her? What do I do?' And they go, 'You're her sweet boyfriend.' And I was like, 'No! Absolutely not!' But yeah, I just assumed I had to rape and kill her."

We think Norman would have been just ADORABLE in the role, even if there wasn't intense traumatic violence. It's called ACTING, Normy!
